Library's collection Library's IT development CancelInternet network has growing rapidly following bigger needs for
communication these days. Usually the basic requirement to access the internet is
a PC. Then what if we just need to connect a minimum system to internet ( for
such a simple task like distant control unit ) without using PC ?
In this final project the minimum system ( that can be connected to internet
network ) made here will using embedded ethernet controller technology. This
unit will access the LAN network ( 10 Base-T ) by using TCP/IP protocol. The
systems will works as follow : the minimum system will control the ethernet
device with software control, the Ethernet controller will "translate" commands
from minimum system to internet network.
The unit will have following parts: a minimum system ( device
controlling all the activation of the ethernet controller ) and a ethernet controller
unit ( used to send and receive data signals from internet network to minimum
system).
From test result learned that the minimum system was able to connect to
the internet network using embedded Ethernet controller, but there are problems.
The problem was caused by leaking in internal diode inside the CS8900A chip.
This means that TMS320C50's still cannot communicate with embedded Ethernet
controller.
