The impact of profitability towards share price: a study in an Indonesian bank industry before and during presidential election 2014

This research aims to observe the impact of profitability toward stock price. This study is conducted on companies from the construction and bank industry that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, and have published annual reports for six years from 2012 to 2017. This research will observe 162 reports that consist of 27 companies from 2012 to 2017. Profitability consists of Earning per Share, Return on Investment, and Net Profit Margin are used as independent variables. The stock price will be used as the dependent variable. In total, there are seven hypotheses that will be tested in this research. The data analysis will be done using Gretl software. The result of this research is pretty varied. Earning per share, return on investment and net profit margin has a significant relationship with the stock price.
