A Study on the ideas of feminism which are revealed through the famale characters' point of view on marriage, education, and job in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's profession

This thesis analyzes the ideas of feminism which are revealed through the female
characters? point of view on marriage, job and education in Shaw?s Mrs. Warren?s
Profession. The reason why the writer chooses the topic because it is very interesting
to see Mrs. Warren as the women from Victorian era, which in her the writer already
able to reveal the feminist ideas. While in that era the term feminism had not been
popular yet. Moreover the aim of the study is to find out the point of view from Mrs.
Warren concerning marriage, education, and job; in which the writer could reveal the
ideas of feminism. For the methodology, the writer use the background of feminism,
general concepts in feminism, also concepts of feminism on: marriage, education, and
job. In the analysis, the writer will use those concepts to analyze the ideas of
feminism as seen from the point of view of Mrs. Warren concerning marriage,
education, and job. The final results are Mrs. Warren has her own perceptions about
how women suppose to commit in marriage, education and job. Those perceptions are
based on the feminist concepts and ideas that women need to earn their right and
dignity.
