Analysis the efficiency of investment sectors towards improving the attractiveness of Kvam municipality

Smaller municipalities are facing problems with emigration from its rural
districts and into the major cities of Norway. This has been an ongoing trend for a
couple of decades now, with increasingly speed for the last few years. This study
will define what areas Kvam municipality needs to focus on, in order to decrease,
or even turn around this trend. It will come up with an optimal allocation of funds
for investment in terms of move up the attractiveness of the municipality.
This study will also analyze whether there are any internal differences
among its population. It will cluster the population based on age grouping (teens,
adults and elders), gender (male and female) and locations (Alvik, Oystese,
Norheimsund, Tsrvikbygd, Strandebarm and Mundheim).
The calculation came up with an investment suggestion of Education at
12.62 %, Health Care at 12.23 %, Culture at 9.66 %, Employment at 13,98 %,
Housing at 13.26 %, Safety at 13.32 %, Social Activities at 13.24 % and
Infrastructure at 11.69 % in order to influence the attractiveness of Kvam
municipality to a maximum. There came up no significant differences between the
different clustered groups.
