Library's collection Library's IT development CancelA very big quantity of UK Petra's students, with so many different culture
background needs a student organization. Unfortunately, facilities for student
organization that exist now, are not approachable. These problems encourage UK Petra to
build a Student Center.
Student's interest of Student Center would be surveyed by using questionnaire.
Regression analysis would be done to get correlation between independent variables
(Organization, Social, Recreation) with dependent variable (student's interest of Student
Center). Analysis of variants (Anova) would be done to compare Student's Entry-year and
Student Activist to their interest of Student Center. Design studies were done to gain space
program and repealed design composition that exist. Market analysis would be done about
economics activity. Financial analysis would be done to fix the budget and intangible
benefit
Based on questionnaire result, 49,39% respondent claimed very agree with Student
Center's reconstruction program, 65,04% respondent wanted UK Petra's Student Center
completed with Student Dormitory and Student Sport Center facilities. 63,48% respondent
agreed Student Center build at Civil Engineering laboratory location (E Building).
The regression equation is:
y = 1,521635 + 0,117626 x1 + 0,369890 x2 + 0,163497 x3 ± 0,341, when dependent
variable y (Interest) affected by independent variables x1 (Organization), x2 (Social), and
x3 (Recreation). Social variable affected the most to the Interest, with Beta's coefficient
0,369890. Anova result showed there were no significant differences between Student's
Entry-year with Interest. Differences between Student Activist with Interest were very
significant. Student’s Entry-year and Student Activist showed significant differences to
Interest of Student Center.
Total area of Student Center is 13.200 m², area for rent is about 19,44% from total
area. Investment and operational costs of Student Center would be always helped from UK
Petra foundation budget, because the income of the rent could not enough to pay the cost.
