A Study of some grammatical errors in the application letters written by the applicants at UD Damai Baru, Malang

This study is about the grammatical errors in the application letters written
by the applicants sealing for a job at UD. Damai Baru, Malang. The main focus of
this study is concentrated on the errors of the applicants based on guiding of Janet.
M. Bing. Concerning the analysis, the writer analyzes the data, and put them into
categories based on the theory that she uses. After analyzing the data, the writer
provides the correct form of the errors. At the end of the analysis, the writer finds
out the most frequent kinds of error made by the applicants. The result reveals that
the tendencies of errors that are produced by her subject are errors in subject verb
agreement, article, tense, modal auxiliary, verb with infinitive complement, and
preposition. The highest frequency of errors that the subjects have is the errors in
preposition.
