Library's collection Library's IT development CancelThis present research is conducted to find out the persuading strategies used by Javanese sales promotion girls. This research is aimed to investigate the kinds of persuading strategies used to persuade Javanese and Chinese promising customer. The writer mainly based his research on the theories from Bender (1980) and Holmes (2001). This research used descriptive approach. The writer got the data from his conversation between the subjects and Javanese and Chinese promising customers. Both the subjects used more than one persuading strategies and there are few types of persuading strategies used more than one times for one promising customer. The sales promotion girls need longer conversations to persuade Javanese promising customers rather than Chinese promising customer.
