Internal communication tools at brasserie barbizon in Golden Tulip Hotel, Schiphol

The purpose of the writers report is to suggest to the employers and employees at Brasserie Barbizon about maximizing the function of the internal communication tools, which are being used there, and also to accomplish the final part of the writers study in Hotel Management. The report starts with an overview of Golden Tulip Hotel, Schiphol .
Golden Tulip Schiphol originates from 1975. In 1984 the management was taken over by Golden Tulip International from Sheraton Schiphol Inn. Over the years the hotel has been rebuilt and refurbished. Currently it has 419 executive rooms including 4 suites and one room for the handicapped. All rooms are equipped with private bath and shower, hairdryer, radio, color television and in-house movie, direct dial telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, Robobar and wake-up service. Guest service includes fitness center, gift shop and 24-hour room service. For dining and entertainment the hotel offers the cocktail bar "The Point", "Brasserie Barbizon" and "Meeting Point". There is currently a growing interest from the direct surroundings of the hotel for meetings and seminar facilities, due to the increasing number of companies in the region of the Haarlemmermeer.
The next chapter is about communication, both in general and in an organization. Communication is a process that involves both sender and receiver. Although the process is never without problem, the writers still have a need to communicate. Communication helps the writers both as an organization and individuals, to survive.
Without communication the writers would never be able to share the writers opinion and ideas. Communication may have more than one purpose, at the same time.
